Reviews of Thainstone House
Lovely grounds, good facilities, great location, friendly staff, good breakfast.
It was all superb.
We liked the noble accommodation very much, the breakfast left nothing to be desired, especially we were happy about cheese and fresh fruit and vegetables. The wellness area is sufficient for a short stay, used it once. The whole ambience and the quiet location are beautiful, but the accommodation was a bit more expensive compared to our other B+B in Scotland.
The rooms do not have a view of the countryside, but of the farm.
Easy access to Aberdeen airport, within 15 km. Welcome base for holiday in Inverurie.
Excellent food, though portions are small. Good parking and great pool and steam-room. Cozy with fireplaces, friendly and attentive staff. Amazing spa in a peaceful location. Beautiful decor and fantastic facilities.
Very comfortable and friendly.
I was very dissapointed in the buffet at the fraser wedding. there was not a lot of food and what I had was cold, the bAKED POTATOESwere hard.i did enjoy the sweets.a hot soup to start with woul have been nice.i didnot complain,as it was my husbands neices wedding.breakfAST was lovely and plenty
We loved the elegant decor of the room and the modern bathroom with a spacious shower. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location was convenient, with beautiful gardens and a clean spa area including an outdoor jacuzzi and sauna.
On our first night, there was a rowdy wedding party that disturbed our sleep with loud noise and shouting late into the night. Additionally, the service staff in the restaurant seemed inexperienced and untrained, which resulted in fumbled service and confusion during meal times.
A nice countryside location.
The hotel had an unwelcolming feel to it as there is no reception desk until well inside the building. Our room although clean was very tired and dated. Room lighting was very poor and almost dark. Bathroom has seen better days also and had mould on the roof. Breakfast service was extremely slow and food portions were kid sized. We had difficulty getting to our room as our way was blocked by people queing to get into the function room.
Gorgeous hotel, feels high end luxury and cosy like home all at once. Dogs were welcome in the bar with water bowl and treats. Custom cocktail made by friendly barman. Lovely restaurant, amazing service and the best meal in ages. Clean pool and spa, divine massage.
Room was small, situated up a narrow spiral staircase. Dirty window frames throughout the hotel.
Location satisfactory for local touring and sightseeing castles etc.
Slow production of food during my stay Shower area grout had mould cover safety plan was incorrect. bathroom window was rotten and needed replacement. Room was small and pokie for price paid
Sitting in front of the log fire relaxing with a bottle of sparkling wine on ice. Good food and friendly atmosphere.
Food took a while to come but when it arrived it was worth the wait.
We loved the spacious and comfortable suite we were upgraded to. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was stunning. The staff at the spa were accommodating and gave me a wonderful massage. The breakfast was efficient and tasty, and the late check-out allowed us to enjoy our morning without rushing. The hotel grounds were perfect for our dogs and the staff were extremely friendly and pet-friendly.
We felt so at home during our stay that we have no complaints whatsoever.
our recent stay in inverurie was fantastic. thainstone house exceeded our expectations, with comfy beds, a brilliant steam room, and a delicious taster menu at the restaurant. the staff worked hard to ensure our stay was enjoyable and any issues were promptly addressed. we even got upgraded to a spacious suite!
outside hot tub was freezing.
The leisure facilities, the location, the luxurious surroundings, the satisfactory resolution of an overbooking problem.
The limited choice of fresh fruit for breakfast,
For the value we paid, we got a comfortable and spacious room at Thainstone House Guest House. The location was perfect, with a beautiful country setting and easy access to the airport and train station. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay.
The breakfast offerings could be improved with better quality ingredients and more appealing options.
We had a 2-night stay at Thainstone House and were warmly welcomed by the receptionist. Our bedroom was incredibly comfortable, with a spacious seating area and a pristine shower room. The tea-making tray, complete with biscuits, was a lovely touch. My partner indulged in a luxurious massage at the spa, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the delectable dinner. The Chef's culinary skills were outstanding, creating visually stunning plates of food. The attentive and pleasant staff made our experience even more enjoyable. We have already booked to return with friends for another night.
